ASAP Please.. Where to buy Methyl Hydrate?? [for an E test car]

Buddy is taking his 90 GT to get tested today and it was borderline last time, and they've tightened the numbers since.

What is, and where do I buy Methyl Hydrate..? How much do ya need to add based on say 1/2 tank?

you can buy it at crappy tire in the paint section... I believe half a tank would require about a litre of it. From what I understand, the methyl hydrate is only good for one of the categories on the test, which is the only one I believe I passed when I got my Jimmy e-tested (cat was toast, since replaced).

Im not sure about this, but, isn't Methyl Hydrate gas line antifreeze? If so Crappy Tire I guess, if they even have it on display yet......

canadian tire in the paint section pink w/blue label $7.82 4 litre jug, add that to
1/4 tank of gas, works great and won't hurt anything, after the e-test fill up your tank with gas good luck!

I got some at Home Hardware in the Paint/chemicals section.. 4L jug. She [it's his GFs 1990 Cobra GT] stopped by and I added 3L to her car.. she had just under a half tank.. I put her timing to 7-8* base.. [balancer was rusty].

I looked at her old E Test and it barely passed on the last one.. [can't remember what it's called but the numbers go high.. 8 or 900 or something].

We'll see.

Cool, she passed, my buddy just called. I guess had we not touched the car and it got the same results as last year [he bought it for her last year so it got tested 1 year ago] it would have failed this time due to the tighter limits/restrictions the gov't implemented..

Oh well, she passed..

Now I gotta dump some in his truck [it failed already yesterday] .
