I cant believe you did your entire piping in ABS, that must have been cheep.
Did you put glue and screws in the ABS to hold it together or just glue?

Nice project very impressive

just glue and it's held so far lol, and it wasn't as cheap as i thought it would be but better than paying for someone to custom weld me up some ic pipes lol

jeff at ponydown could definitely make you up some headers for use with an external wastegate....go to his site and look around

I use a narrow band for daily use. Initial tune was with a wideband setting it pretty rich. I was running 14psi in that clip.

new set up for end of season
i'll be going with a built C4

took this fmic i had

had the hole fixed and added a second inlet

it will be replacing that SAAB 9000 IC behind it

also, my MSD6BTM wasn't working last year so i'm going to have that repaired, my subframes welded in, tq box supports put in, 84 front clip put on for better air flow over the IC/rad (and another step towards the tribute to my 84GT turbo), new IC piping (ABS of course lol), and that's it off the top of my head...

it's being put off until after August due to the wedding/lay off/other priorities, a suspected blown head gasket and right now the funds aren't there to work on it until then...

long time no update - been doing a lot of research with my buddy dave from windsor about the conversion and by late spring/early summer it should be rebuilt with better internals, gonna do a top end rebuild with better head gaskets just to be safe, and i'm debating giving MAF a try...I'd prefer to keep it speed density since i acquired and 89 5.0 wiring harness in trade for some powder coating I had done for a guy.....if any locals have a cobra 24lb injector laying around (or basically any meter for 24s) and wouldn't mind lending it to me for a bit so I can see if it does help and makes me want to go mass air or stick with my trusty speed density...... what's everyone think???

Mike, that Saab intercooler was a cork, your new sheetmetal one will be leaps and bounds ahead, as well, the T5/3.73 was not suitable for your setup, that car never really got going until it had anuf load to make boost in 3rd gear. When we raced on the... umm... fully legal closed course circuit by my house I was in full 11.80 @ 115 MPH race trim, and you went by me hard by 90 MPH and that was on your old setup.

I predict with the C4, 3.27s, a bit of a converter, and the new I/C you will run high 10s on the same amount of boost as last year. Problem is, the same amount of boost as last year is going to be more airflow, meaning, them 24s have served their purpose and are done. Do the maf [a lightning meter], and go right for some 42s, we'll put m wideband on, turn the boost up to 18-19 psi and let the sucker EAT.

No more putzing around you've waited long enough. Stock longblock will handle it you don't have a belt pulling on the crank. If that thing even runs an 11 this year I am going to be dissappointed in you.
