Looking For My Old Car

This is a total long shot but I thought I'd try. My first Mustang was a brand new 2000 Mustang GT Spring Edition and was Performance Red. I'd really like to buy it back if possible. It sold it in 2002 or 2003 to a young guy from the Lloydminster area. I think his name was Hugh and he was 16-17 years old. The car was really unique as it came with factory stripes on the hood, and the 35th anniversary hood and side scopes. When I sold it there was around 10,000km on it and it looked like new. If anyone knows or has seen it I'd love some info on it.

Here in Ontario, if you run the VIN at the Ministry office for a Used Car info package, it will give you the history of the ownership. I'm going to guess you don't have the VIN, so finding a car that was sold ten years ago is going to be a bit of a challenge. I'm going to take a wild stab and say that if a 17 year old bought it, it's got a lot more than 10k on it, and looks less than new. lol Good luck on the search dude.

x2 on what AP said. You can run a VIN at an Alberta registry and it will tell you where it is currently registered, if it is still registered. they won't tell you to who though.

I wish I had the vin. Unfortunately at the time I really didn't see any reason to keep it. We don't have any of the paperwork at the dealership from when I owned it either. It all goes away after 7 years.

I managed to find the vin. After I spent some time digging through old papers I came across the original window sticker. I ran a car proof report and found that the guy I sold it to was from Vermilion, not Lloydminster. It looks like it was there a few years, then was in Leduc and Edmonton for a few years. The last several registrations just say Alberta, so I'm really no further ahead.

Airbag deployed, no pics of the front end, the one pic you can see the passenger side front fender has been custom crumple-ized by Krash the Klown, panic "urgent" sale . Yup, no red flags there. lol

Sorry to see this Chad...I felt much the same way when I found my '85 LX 5.0 notchback...well what was left of it anyway. It felt like someone kicked me in the guts.
