1988 beige

Hi,

Considering parting with my 1994 Gen 1 Lincoln Mark VIII. I have owned it for 7 years, previous owner was a ford tech. car is in average condition for being 20 years old.

it is a Gen 1 (1993-1995). therefore it has the all aluminum tekskid block 4.6 4 valve. Block was made by the same company that does Ferraris F1 blocks, steel crank from Germany, hand assembled in Italy. Strongest factory aluminum 4.6 block. Underrated at 280 HP. in 1996 the production for this motor was switched to the USA and it found its way into the 1996 SVT Cobra. motor runs well, slight tick on start up sometimes. uses very little oil.

- removed high maintenance air ride system. replaced with conventional suspension. all mechanical work is done. one wire at computer still needs to be disconnected to prevent "check air ride" light from coming on. have diagram on how to.

- tranny fluid and filter done a couple of years ago, virtually no miles since.
- new water pump
- New tires (225/60/16)
- factory moon roof
- Tan Leather.
- 8.8 diff, IRS.
- 4 wheel discs.
- Fords tested top speed, 180MPH+


car runs and drives good. 260,000 km.

- some rust around fuel door and in rockers.
- air cond. not working, never looked at it
- cruise not working.
- Check engine will come on sometimes, scanned as vacuum leak.
- has Alpine CD running through factory JBL amp and speakers, sadly the amp is showing signs of age.
- usual wear and tear for age.

that's about all I can think of right now.

would be interested in trading for a running driving mustang.
it is tough to part with this car but if the right deal comes along it is gone.
it is a neat piece of ford history.

UPDATE.

Sadly the fuel pump has died in this car. my focus right now is with my 1988 LX. I just want the car sold. $700. very flexible on price. car will need to be towed. it is located in Langdon just 15 min east of Calgary. for a fast response please call (403-710-3487)
