1984 Mustang SVO For Sale - $6500

It is with more than a little regret that I am putting my 1984 SVO up for sale.
This is the lightweight 'Competition Prep' model with option deletes (no sunroof, no power windows, no power door locks and no A/C). I have owned this car since 1986 and it has never been winter driven and has been garaged during my period of ownership. The mileage is 70000 km. All original, never modified. No rust. New Cooper RS3 tires, new rad and hoses and new front sway bar bushings and links within last year. There is the expected wear on the driver's side bolster but no tears or stains. Leather steering wheel and shift **** in very good condition with no cracks or markings. The head-liner has a small sage developing but no tears. Paint is original and looking a little tired (I would repaint unless you are striving for that 'survivor' look). Brake rotors and pads have plenty of life left. The car is in St. Catharines.

Thanks.

Thanks for joining up to post your ad, clean looking ride.

Maybe add some contact info outside of this forum, we get a lot of guys that post ads, no contact info, and then when someone asks about it, they get no response because the guy hasn't been back to check on his ad in six months.

Thanx, and good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the suggestion. I am new at this. Now I just have to figure out how to edit my original thread...

Or just put contact info in a new post, no edits required. Or post it and I can move it into the original post. It's all good in the hood.

1984 Mustang SVO for sale

It is with more than a little regret that I am offering my SVO for sale.

It is all original and unmodified. I have owned this vehicle since 1986 and have never winter driven it and have always stored it in a garage. No rust and no bubbles. I have had no accidents and I see no damage from the previous owner. It has 70000 original km. This car is a lightweight 'Competition Prep' version of the SVO (no sunroof, no power windows, no power door locks, no A/C). The paint is all original but is showing its age. The interior is clean with no tears in the upholstery or leather wrapped steering wheel and shift ****. There is some wear on the driver's seat side bolster and the start of a headliner sag in the left rear but no holes or tears. The car has had new tires (Cooper Zeon RS3), rad and rad hoses in the last year. The owner's manual, Koni shock instruction manual and Koni shock adjusting **** are all there.

Features; (all factory installed)
2.3L turbo, fuel injected, intercooled 4 cyl
5-speed T-5 transmission with Hurst shifter
8.8 rear axle with limited slip
tilt steering wheel
16 x 7 inch 5-bolt rims with 225-50R-16 tires
4 wheel disc brakes (good rotor and pad life left)
Recaro seats with inflatable lumbar support
Factory AM/FM radio with amplifier
Two engine maps (one for regular fuel and one for premium)

I can be contacted at davdot@vaxxine.com

Beautiful car, I would have that if I had some spare money.
I always had a thing for the SVO.
I know not the monster V-8
But performed very well and looks sweet.
Good luck.

Went to look at this car around Xmas time when the ad was originally posted, seller was a very nice gentleman. Decided to hold off until the spring, checked back with him and the car was still available but an oil leak from the turbo had been discovered.

He's a fairly capable "backyard mechanic" so he slowly and methodically tackled the job himself and sourced out the correct needed parts. A vacation to Europe with his wife interrupted the repair, but I got a message from him last weekend that the car was good to go. So this morning I headed down with my buddy Stu and a dealer plate and stack of cash in hand. Took for a drive, was very impressed because it doesn't beat you up like a stock Fox 5.0 suspension does ... with the low kms the factory Konis are still in good shape. We made the deal and I drove it home this afternoon. Stu and I are going to meet at the GHMA Stampede in Milton tomorrow morning where I'll show it off for the first time.

cheers
Ed
