Anyone try the Mickey Thompson Sportsman S/R tires?
https://www.mickeythompsontires.com/...em=SportsmanSR
I have ran Hoosier, Nitto, Mickey Thompson and BFG drag radials for my daily street tire since 2004 and I'm thinking of changing from the drag radial to these MT Sportman S/R's.
I ordered the fronts in size 26X6.00R15LT and they should fit my 15 x 4 Centerline ConvoPros well.
The rears I am debating on the 26X10.00R15LT or the wider 26X12.00R15LT's.
I have used the MT Et street in size 27X10.50-15LT before and they fit really good. As you can see the both sizes that I am looking at are one size smaller and one size larger then what I know will fit. I think I will try the 12's and hope they will not rub against anything underneath.
My track tire is a 26X10X15 Hoosier slick and it fits nice as well.
Back to my title, is anyone using these tires on any ride they have and would you know if they fit big or small or anything about them.
Just trying to get more street miles out of my street tires so thought I may give these a try.
I am definitely going to use them for the front, just gotta decide if a MT drag radial is going on or these SR's for the rears. I don't put more than 2000 kms/ 1200 miles on my car per season or drive in the rain so not worried about wet traction, just want more then 1 or 2 seasons out of them. Last BFG drag radial lasted 2 seasons, Hoosier drag radial only 1 season and couple sets of MT drag radial lasted 2 but should have been changed earlier as they were worn out. Nittos lasted the longest but they look small under my car but I may end up with them out back if these S/T's dont pan out or I hear negative things about them., who knows.
I will not be using any of these tires for drag racing as I stated before I have Hoosier bias ply skinnies and rears for that. Thanks for reading.

Thanks for the link but the coupon is for truck tires!
Update.. went with the tried and true Nitto 555R Drag Radial 275/50/15 and M/T 26X6.00R15 SR's for the fronts.
My trusty Amazon ca price and order fell through on both sets of M/T's so I ordered locally from ST Thomas, Ontario and got a hell of a price. Guess I should have looked closer to home for deals first!
Nitto's are on just waiting for the M/T's to come in.
And thanks AP for the post... could not have said it better!

Hey Greg. Good to hear from you. Been a long while since we all got together. Where did you get your Nitto's from locally? How good was the deal? I'm thinking of getting a set, but I haven't seen prices I like. Tires are way over priced in my opinion for what they really are, and for the amount of k's we can get out of them due to usage, and age.

I got my Nittos local in town. Paid $452.00 CAD taxes in and installed for 2 555r Drag radials 275/50/15's.
I also bought a second set from Discount Tire Direct in Michigan for $318.00 USA a pair which converted on my CC to $436.69 CAD but they were not installed. So now I have a new set on and a spare set in the room. ha ha... May be a good smokin summer!
So I was very happy to find them close to me for that price installed. I can get you a price for your size and pass it along to you or you can call them and tell them Greg sent you!
I dealt with Nathan at Elgin Tirecraft in St Thomas he does all the special orders for them. (519) 637-2382

That's pretty good. If you can check a price for me that would be cool. ..... since you two have already talked. . I would really appreciate it. I'm looking for 2 305/35ZR18. The size I'm looking at will be a bigger difference in price compared to what you got, the joy of having larger rims!!!! . There is a few places I plan to get prices from, but if I can get them locally at a very good price, I will contact him, and I will jump on them.
For sure we will get most,or at least a few of us together again. Last year was the first time I got the GT out after letting it sit for two seasons. Hooked up with a few of the old members threw last summer. Was nice to just chill with no politics for once. LOL! I'm slowly making my baby steps back into the mustang/hobby community.
