how much boost

how much boost

Was wondering how much boost can a stock 00 4.6 take if any before worrying about botton end of motor? ex.nitrous,turbo,supercharger

400-450rwHP on a super-safe tune is about the limit I've heard. For, say, an intercooled twinscrew or centri, this is in the 10psi range. For N2O, same deal I guess: a 150HP shot on a stock motor should theoretically go from ~230HP at the wheels to ~380. I certainly wouldn't go any higher than that unless you already need a new motor.

Its the power you should mind, not the boost so much.
Id say 350 to 400 rwhp depending on the tune. Id say to reach that power, again depending on tune and blower you should see about 350-380 rwhp with 10 psi which would be your standard 8psi stock pulley plus powerpipe

remember as well, the more N/A power you make, the less boost you will have to push to get your desired HP.
