Looking to do some header install on your 2V....
Here is a few links to help you out that i saved, and would like to share.
Definitely a job you don't want to rush for,and need to plan for LOL! Short tubes http://www.stangfreak.com/content/in...id=52&Itemid=1 http://www.fnsweet.com/garage/shortheaders.shtml Long tubes http://www.fnsweet.com/garage/lt_install/index.shtml |
I here it's a bitch to do so thanks for the info
|
I did it my self , yes it was a pain but well worth it :-) .. I would recommend ordering some stage 8 bolts to replace the studs, specially if your running the stock k member
|
I hear to have a shop do it can be pricey
|
Yes very..they basically have to drop the front suspension take the K member off to get to the headers. I did it in my garage a few winters ago, took my time no rush.
Worked out well, i even did my K member swap also went with a tubular one |
Was going to do this mod,but backed out.Had Ford Racing shorties, bassani gaskets, and stage 8 bolts.I felt it wasn't worth the job since i don't want to stay with a 2V down the road.

My GT wears the Steeda Q400 cowl hood, and as for the cams, they are the VT Engines stage 2 n/a's,now know as Cushmanmotorsports located here in Ontario. The guy who designed VT's cams is now on his own.Cushman is his last name.I beleived he worked for Sean Hyland before VT Engines. He knows his modular Ford engines.:tup

They are also good to aid in weight saving so you can retain the stock exhaust set up too.Which is what i wanted when i was going to this root for the e test purpose. |
