Question about Heads and CAM
Folks,
There is someone here selling heads and cam off a 2002 Mustang GT for approx $350. Wondering if this would be a good deal for me? I have stock 1997 Mustang GT. Will I get bumped up more HP ? or ...... Not sure |
Doing the PI 2V head/cams swap is a good bump for you guys with the NPI 2V ('96 to '98 GT's).It will increase the HP,torque, and compression.
Make sure you find the PI intake as you will need it due to the diffirent intake port design on the PI heads. Here is the thread on the results. :tup https://www.cmoc.ca/forums/t3962/ His 97 GT runs 13.5's at 102 all day.Well all day back in the day.Been a while since he even ran her on the 1320. |
thanks a bunch guys .... the guy called back he's now asking 450 ... told him to go you know where  .... his ad stated 350 .. anyhow ... I will keep looking for now ...

Don't balme you LOL!
If you are looking for some PI cams, and valve springs,i have a set with zero k's on them.I had the "TIC" tsb done under warranty a few years back on my GT which Ford replaced both my heads with new complete heads, but at the sametime i purchased a set of VT/Cushman stage II cams and Comp valve springs to be installed at the sametime. So now i have these brand new 2004 model year PI cams, and valve springs boxed up in the basement. |
