Squeaky front brakes
Ok... I have done everything over the last year or 2 and I still get the squeak from the front driver side wheel. As soon as I put a slight pressure on the brake pedal it stops.
I tried everything... I changed the caliper braket (thinking it was worn out) and causing the caliper to move ever so slightly .. put the anti-squeal/squeak grease a little everywhere ... goes away for awhile and then comes back. I'm wondering now if it's just the caliper not coming back to where it's suppose to after braking? Do I change the caliper(s) .. what else can it be? thanks Ralph |
Was just going to say are you sure the caliper(s) are releasing, and not sticking?
How do the brake pads look? Are they wearing un evenly from driver side to passenger side?Does it pull to the side while driving, and not touching the brakes? |
Those are all things I have to check out ... if I remember good last year it happened a few times that the car pulled to the side a little when braking hard .....
thanks for the reminder. Ralph  |
Worth a check for sure.Sometimes that's all it is,the caliper sticks, and drags on the rotor, and the dirt, and dust build up creates the squeal,or the shoe just drags enough to squeal aswell.
Good luck. |
