sunk mustang

sooo let my gf drive my car for a few weeks as i need to do a break job on her jeep. She drove it down a flooded out road in Grande Prairie Alberta and i am thinking she sucked water down into the engine (not sure though) as as the car is supercharged, air filter is down in front of left tire. She said the car died and she needed to get some nice guys to push her out into a dry parking lot. Car will fire up no problem and no codes present themselves but there is a noticeable knock now. If she did suck water in as we all know water is not compressible. So i am thinking bent rod?? The oil on the dip stick appears to be ok but i am dropping the oil out of the engine today. Any other Thoughts on what it may be?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, I hope the P.O.A. was worth it, that was a "break" job alright, sounds like she broke it good. Women, geesh. lol Welcome to the site Murray, hopefully its nothing major, got nothing for you, other than a sympathetic ear.

If it's knocking I'd say it's toast, but because it was water intrusion, talk to your insurance company. It should be covered.

Wow.

Never should have fired it up after it died.

Drain ALLL fluids and replace immediately

As for the knock ... If you wiped out a bearing by adding water to your oil. You're in trouble. Let's see that drained oil.

Hey Murray - hows it going? Haven't seen you post anything since your first post, just wondered if you made any headway on your ride ? Girlfriend taken the Mustang offroading lately? Was she on her way to the salon?

Sorry sorry...too soon? lol

I already did, c'mon, I did all the heavy lifting. Surely I'm not the only one curious to see how it turned out, damn, if I had a girlfriend who did that to my ride, I'd be a single guy shortly after she said "Honey I think somethings wrong with the car." lol

Hopefully he comes back, I as well would like to hear what's going on. Hopefully he didn't find another forum.
