This looks like snake oil..

Hmmm.... my stang doesn't fit this module anyways.. anyone seen where I parked my LX Diesel???
Vehicle Application Ford Mustang 2005 LX GT NON-Diesel and NON-Turbo Canadian / USA / UK & Foreign models |
It is NOT for a diesel...
|
By saying NON-Diesel - they imply there is a Diesel out there..... All these types of systems don't work by the way. You need a programmer and change how the car performs to get fuel milage. Also how you drive and envronmental factors, Tire pressure, and so many other reasons.

..or they are bullet plating the script so they can change the name to a bunch of different cars and are too lazy to catch the ones like this on...like when was LX used for a mustang....it has to be pre 2005 ..and it just goes to show you who is doing the selling.
The reason I asked is that I have seen bunches of different adds touting the magical chip..in fact, I have heard end users spouting about their extra hp a chip gave them. From what I am gathering for you, it that all these chip purveyors are selling snake oil and they have pulled the wool over many end users eyes.. Thanks, I will stay away..I don't need any more power (sorry snakebite :) ) but the gas milage interests me eventhough the 'stang gets much better milage than the trusty RAM. Grassy |
I wouldn't ever buy one. I'll stick with my handheld tuner.
|
100HP!!! WOW. I'll buy one right away, what a deal...NOT.
Stay away from those, they're useless. |
...so why do you need to buy a tuner..it is probably a one shot deal..should you be able to rent one or have someone at a garage do it for you ?? Seems awefukl expensive just to change an acceleration curve

Grassy Also if you take your car in for warranty work etc (i cant with my intake) but most people can swap back to the stock intake and restore the tune to stock before bringing the car in. Also to make the swap for emissions tests. If you get a fancy one you can use it for datalogging and or monitoring your air/fuel which can be handy especially if you have forced induction. |
..Ford will not warranty you car woth a cold air intake ? ...they sell one them selves ? Yes, I see your point. I am a pretty easy driver but being a computer dweeb for over 20 years, I could see me playing with the thing an awful lot..probably best that I don't have one :)
