05 Mustang GT Brakes
Is this the appropriate forum? There used to be one for the 2005 model.
Anyway, I've got a squeeky wheel. The squeek starts when I apply the brakes lightly and goes away if I push harder. It then comes back for a block or two after I release the brakes. The dealer (Yorkdale Ford) didn't think it was a big deal. They looked at the mechanicals and checked service bulletins but found nothing**. They said it was safe to drive and gave me the "fussy customer brush-off". Their service CS called the next day to ask how delighted I was and got an ear-full. I put off a return visit because they're far away and the weather was crummy. I have lived with it ever since. With my local Ford dealer reopened, I'll take it to them. Has anyone else had a squeaky-wheel problem? ** At least they didn't grease my brakes like a GM dealer once did. True! |
No noise from mine :tup

sounds like the pads are just a little hard. Did you try any fast stops to burn off the fuzz?
It's probably cause your pads have a hard edge. If you can take them off yourself, bevel the edge a little with a file. |
It's just the left front and it squeaks for a block or two *after*
I release the brakes. Then it goes away until I apply the brakes again. I'll ask them to replace the caliper set. |
