300 Hp

I have a 98 GT with no mods under the hood.

What would be a logical route to follow to get to 300 HP? Cheap and easy, assume the PI head install is too difficult

Is it possible?

Yeah you're right.

OK, refine the criteria a bit. I am not drag racing, but road racing, so I'd like to have the extra/power torgue available throughout the power band.

PI intake would get you started...supposedly good for 15+rwhp by itself.
Then port the intake and heads?

without forced induction or nitrous, it's not easy on a non-PI 4.6

Honstly, id say the easiest way to bolt on 100hp would be boost. Throw a Supercharger on that car. Id say maybe a KB or whipple. Tons of low end. Great for pulling outta the turns on a road course. But either type of SC will give ya a great boost in HP

Well, in that case, you have to throw the "cheap" idea out the window. Getting to 300 with a blower is going to set you back at least $6000 just for the kit + install, tune, etc. NA is going to set you back a lot more than that to get to 300rwhp.

I don't think he said rwhp.

with PI HCI and some good porting and full exhaust and intake he'll be pretty close.

Ah, an oversight on my part.

I have a nice set of PI cams if you're looking for some HFX98GT
