You should be able to run your stock ECU,and harness with a chip.Do a seach on google.I use to have a link saved in my old computer that bombed on the swap, and lost it!!

Here is one post i found on ModularFords.com with a quich search....

Re: Cobra powered GT question
I am actually almost done with my 04 Cobra motor,T56 trans, and blower set up swap into my automatic 2000 GT. I used the GT harness. The most time consuming part is lengthing all of the wires on the cars with coils. My set up might be a little bit different from yours since I am also going with 60 lbs injectors and a Whipple 2.3.
If I remember correctly, I had to lengthen all of the wires for the coils, IAT sener since I am using the 03-04 lower intake & blower, TPS, IAC, coolant temp, altenator wires, oil pressure sensor, and maybe fuel rail pressure sensor.

I havent driven the car yet since I have been waiting on the T56 to be built, but I have started the car.
There is a bunch of info out there, you will just have to dig a little.

thanks if i am able to use my stock gt computer that may be easier than tracking down the computer and wires for the cobra. everyone was telling me i had to swap it all out

Well according to the guys that have "DONE IT",you don't have to swap the ECU out,all you need to do is chip it with a custom tune, and from what i have read with the little search last night, you can keep the stock harness aswell with a little wiring lengthning!:tup
This is why....,and no offence to our fellow Canadian stangers as they are awesome group of guys,.....i go to the U.S based "modular" stang sites for all my tech info, over there guys have done it,and proven it.

yea i read for almost 4 hours last nite. im glad i can use my gt comp and harness. the only one it looks like that i have to change is the harness for the gauge cluster so the boost gauge will work which unfortunately involves removing the dash. this will be a fun winter project and will be taking about 1000 pics. now i notice you are in the london area, is there any junk yards there with any 03/04 cobra in them. i have searched all of the vancouver area for the svt cluster and have found none. found lots in the US but i want it in kms.

None that i know of around here.If their was,it would've been gone by now.
Here is a link to one for sale, don't know if it is in miles,or k's....
