fuel filter change
 
well i just thought id ick up a fuel filter today for the cobra...
just wanted to know where it is before i go at it.
i know its not under the hood...but where is it located under the car?
just so i dont have to jack the car up server times finding it :toilet:

ok my fukin filter will not come out. is there a special tool i need? this filter is original and hasnt been replaced with 39000 km on a 01 gt

no special tool, just pry the brackest a bit and it should come out.

pry it? i tried to wiggle it out but the damn thing still wont budge. there really isnt anywhere you can pry on it to get it to pop out :2:

there is a special tool you can buy

and it's worthwhile.....if you damage the fuel line.....you'll be pissed

good to know...
would they your style be different than mine?

because all i did was take the plastic peaoce out of the ends of teh lines, and poped them off.

then unclamped the bracket around the filter, wiggled and wiggled, then pryed a bit, the walla!

don't know......but I've been in a position where the connection did break, and a custom line had to be fabbed.....not something you want to have happen in your driveway....and the Ford replacement pieces are stupidly priced and likely not in stock

not a worry for me now.....I'm running a #8 SS line from the rails right to the tank...with a Magna fuel filter....all anodized fittings etc
