Just a Oil question

I have the oil changed at the dealership (I know lol ) and they use 5W50 Mobil 1 Synthetic and I have no problems with their selection. I generally put no more than 500-800 miles on per year so the oil is in good/great shape when dumped. With fuel/oil prices going up I wonder what the oil change will cost me this year. Last year for 7 liters and a filter the bill came to 112.00. I will let you know in 2 months.

I would say that there are some oils that are better than others, and in my opinion synthetic is the way to go, but all-in-all if your changing your oil regularly, and not going over the recommended mileage, that is the most important thing, and your engine will treat you as good as you treat it.

I like synthetic myself.
If my memory was better I would tell you where to find an article about blended synthetic oil and the lawsuit.The short version is that many synthetic oils are actually blended but you wont know untol you check the code on the back.
