NA or FI

I am having second thoughts in regards to my motor plans.

Part of me wants to built a complete long block while the other part wants to spend the money meant for the heads and spend it on a used blower kit for the car. What would you do?

you should label the poll N/A or Blown....

the way you have it is Naturally Apsirated OR Fuel Injected.

I say FI and Blown :)

you get better gas milage, driveability, and when you want the power... push the go pedal harder .

Bolt on a Kenne Bell and have fun.

my 2 cents

I love the 2V motors but all motor they r not all that great of a performer..I meansoon we gonna have a 10sec all motor car (KenB) but the amount of work and the weight of the chassis it just doesnt translate into what a regular street car would run...

if u want the best bang for the buck while u r rebuilding ur motor spend some money on forged pistons and rods(www.wmsracing.com) they have great prices on Probe Pistons and Modmax rods and do a set of cams VT Blower cams or Comp 287's then u find a used S-Trim blower and bolt on a 2.87 pulley and throw a water injection kit on... with this the car should produce about 500rwhp and with proper suspension should run in the 10's

or u can blow shitload more money and run 12s all motor u make the decision!

FI = forced induction

I have long kicked this around. Finally in the end a blower or turbo setup is the only way to go. For an N/A motor in a street driven car to run better than 12s you would have to hide from drive clean and the MOE here in Ontario. I dont believe it is possible to be emmisions legal and run much better than 12s. For me the plan for this winter is to drop in a 5.4 v2 with forged crank, rods, and pistons and a novi 2000.

go blown or go home :tup

AIRRIDE 10-30-2004 10:28 AM

Go blower.

Mrs. SCNISTER 10-31-2004 02:23 PM

Looks like the consensus is quite clear. Go with a blower. :tup

look at Clint's car... if that isn't proof enough.. your retarted. fully legal car, small motor, wipers, plated, insured, relatively quiet for the the amount of power it has, oh ya, radial tires. and it runs 9's at 146mph un tuned (first time driving or getting on it with this motor/blower setup ever) with only 16psi. top that.
