Rattling noise at high rpm's

Hey guys...

Just recently I noticed when I am driving hard and reach high rpm's (speed doesn't matter) there is a rattling sound of some sort coming from my engine bay. Sounds like marbles in a can. I tend to think it is detonation and asked my shop teacher and he said the same thing. I am guessing to put in high octane fuel....any other advice?

Thanks

check your timing, you might be able to fix it that way, otherwise try higher octane and see if that helps.
