tires

I just went to a tire website and it would seem as the Pirelle tire rates VERY high across the board. Any thoughts?

To narrow. To hard to hook up if driving hard, needs 255/45zr19 front and 285/35zr19 rear

I tend to agree but since I drive like an old man (oops I am) all the reading informs me they are a top notch tire.

Well if you drive average/ not on the TREASHOLD.

I would suggest a far less expensive tire.

You are right, but it will take years to wear the stock tires off

there are many high quality brands out there besides Pirelli...a popular choice amongst stang owners (from what i gather online) are BFG Gforce TA KDWs

Also, an excellent tire at a very REASONABLE price are the Falken FK451s. i've read many excellent reviews on them...low noise, high grip in dry and wet and good wear time. i was set on getting these for my new car but they don't come in 295s so...no can do.

have a look - they're a great tire at a fraction of the cost of the big names.

I'll be going with TA/KDW's as soon as the stocks wear down (shouldn't be long  ). 285/40/18 rear 255/45/18 up front. The only problem i've read about them is they're kinda loud.

I have Kumho Ecsta Supra 777s, used from last April-November and from March-now.. awesome tires, great traction and I still have a TON of tread left.
