I called the dealer to get the dealer # and order #. They wouldnt give it to me :(
But said it is scheduled to ship April 24th. He'd better be telling the truth.

P.S Went for a ride with a guy from work. He got a black 05 GT Vert Auto.
Man was it a fun ride.

No other options, they just aren't worth the money.

Ahhh OK - I was going to be :banghead: because you and I ordered on pretty much the same day, but mine has yet to be serialized and assigned a build date. I think most of that has to do with the V6 vs. GT thing, as well as the IUP.

Glad at least someone is getting their car soon! :tup

Spoke to the dealer yesterday, expected delivery is May 7th!!!! :chacha:

Exactly what did you order and why the long wait :banghead:

The wife and I just saw a DSG sixer in the grocery store underground...looked sweet.

Didn't look like it had many options at all....but it was a nice little ride.

The wife was even looking at the interior...looked like she liked it...hmm what if... :chacha:

dont get your hopes up too high man :biggrin:

GOt the V6 with leather interior and the spinner wheels, that was the only option I went with. Didnt want anything else, in the end it really isnt worth the money.

And lets not forget that great lookin stripe!!
Its been 5 weeks so far. the car left Deerborn yesterday....
they said 6 weeks guarenteed. Looks like it'll be 6 weeks to the day

I'm a pretty good negotiator...trust me. :biggrin:

A nice silver sixer would make a great daily driver for the wife...she'd love the get-up-and-go vs her chick-car Cavalier. :tup

I guess the local dealer did not have a good selection. I feel bad you have waited so long. I walked in the dearlership in Windsor and presto there was my car. I picked it up the next afternoon :tup. If that one was not there I would have kept my 99gt as it only had 41,000kms :banghead:

They didnt have the colour I wanted. And there wasn't a very good selection on 05's that were manual either. In V6 that is. I didnt want some of the options that the cars had either. didnt want to push the budget. The wait wasnt so bad. Especiall when I hear guys have been waiting since Nov of last year for their cars.

I'm totally satisfied!

The sixer looks like a good little car....200 fwhp I think...not sure on the tq. So she'll go good.

What's the price of a base model?

I'd need to get an auto for the wife.

She'd complain about the blind spots, and that the car is bigger than her current ride...but I'd bet she'd be sold when she hit the gas. :tup

Her first car was a '67 coupe...and the first thing she said when we saw the one today was "heh...it looks like the old fastback".

Her Dad has a real boner for the '05...so I'm confident he'd be giving the idea a thumbs up. :tup

as much as some may say wtf mate at this but i really wanna trade in my car for an 05, but i cannot afford :cry2: i love my car and am greatful to have it, but too many problems and not enough giddy up. or maybe i just need to mod it again :)

Go look in the CMOC garage...if I even thought of selling mine the wife would divorce me. :cheers: Not that I would anyway...I love the car (and the wife even more)

Her car has a year or two left...so I think a new sixer would be a sweet replacement. It's either that or an Escape. :tup
