1988 5.0 Mustang acting wierd
 

Ihave a 88 5.0,I just installed white face gauges on it put it all back together took it for a drive went good,parked in garage then a few hours later went to take it for a drive and when I tried to start it the battery was dead,now my wipers turn on my dome light have no head lights no tail lights ,my auto meter tach shift light lights up when I try and start it what you think it is ,head light switch plugged in backwards,a short in something or maybe the ignition switch

I would recheck everything you had apart.

The only thing that I had to unplug was the headlight switch and the wiring to the fog lights,I started to take everything apart and the only thing that I can think of is maybe the headlight switch is plugged in wrong ,but they only usually plug in one way right.
