1994 GT Air Filter Removal..........

Hey guys,

This is gonna sound really simple but thought I would ask..........How in the heck do you get the air filter out of this beast........I had the 2 latches undone............and the bolt on the side removed...........but it felt like I was forcing it to come apart.........what am I missing here..........getting ready for e-test.......please help asap.......thanks. With my luck it's probably something simple.........but I may have ended up breaking it if I kept on goin......better safe than sorry.......

that's pretty much it

You pretty much have it off,the filter might just be stuck on a bit,you should not have to pull too hard. The rest of the intake pipe is pretty easy as well, just a couple clamps, unplug the mass air,and away you go.i also took the boot off from the inside of the fender and turfed it.I just did not like the way it restricted airflow.I have a k&n filter and i do clean it often.

I think there's a 3rd latch at the bottom but I can't remember.

I just undo the latches and pull the MAF housing apart from the filter housing and then pull the filter out.

Yeah you gotta be a little rough with it. There are two clamps and a clip. It also attachs at the bottom with two clips that you just pull straight up to remove. After that it should pop right out.
