351w emission compliance

i have a 93 4cyl to 5.0 conversion. the previous owner put a carb'ed 302 in, but there are no emissions components (egr, smog pump etc). car runs like a dream, but am having a hard time getting through drive clean red tape.i now have a 351w, carb'd as well, but am wondering what i would need minimum emissions pieces to be street compliant? i may need an egr intake, or other pieces, not sure. anybody know?

Ok check if you car model would have ever been equiped with a 351 from the factory, if not,, the emissions standard changes back to 1988 levels,, which you may be able to get throught, with a little work,, check with the ministry, i did see it a number of years ago,, Kit cars are excempt thought,, Other wise,, re jet the carb, and burn pure methonel to get it throught the etest, and change it back after..LOL

if your engine runs clean enough, an egr system and some decent cats will get you through your etest without any problems, if you are worried about the inspector red flagging ur car because its not the factory setup, make sure the inspector doing the etest is unexperienced and lazy. most inspectors dont really care if everything is hooked up or not, they just want to get your car out of the shop.also if you live near an oil changers that does etests, i can almost garauntee they wont know what they are looking at and will test it anyways.

Find out if you can test the car under the "hot rod" category.
