351w heads on 302
i have a 93 carb 5.0. i also have a 351w i plan to install sometime when i get all the parts (intake, flywheel distr. etc). in the meantime i may put the 351 heads on the 302. they are worlds, not sure of the specs. 302 is stock, has edelbrock air gap intake, 600 performer carb. would these heads work any good, besides having to use 1/2" conversion bolts, or are they overkill?

What year 351 heads are they? The 77-up versions are very similar to 302 heads, and do not have the larger valves of the older ones. So knowing what they are would be the deciding factor.

i think the 351 is a 77-78. the 302 is an 87 converted to carb. i'll have to check the block for exact date.

check the casting codes, on the net, and see what the valve sizes are, i have a bunch of heads here from the 289, 302, and 351.. some of the 302 have the same heads as the 351 thought

I'am right in Colborne, just off #2 very close to the legion there... I picked up a 302 last year that came out of an Opp car has roller cam, and 351 heads on it.
