yeesh 300km? i get almost 450 a tank and i thought my mileage was bad, and thats also with me running the crap out of it in town, i.e: leaving lights hard and revin over 2500. but i do drive mainly highway but its around 90-100km/h. but you can lose upto 15% of your mileage from incorrect tire pressure so i make sure i check it every 3-4 weeks

But is there anyway to increase the mileage on a 5L without compromising the performance much?

Chris.

I am pulling 25-28MPG commuting with my 94 (all highway). However, playing on weekends will drop it below 20 quite easily. As of the moment, everything is stock.

Depends on the tire. I have 35 in mine. The edges were wearing due to the previous guy running them underinflated.

Nate_V6 Jun 24, 2008 09:32 PM

well you can raise it right upto 44psi and gain a mpg or 2 but at the cost of traction and handling, and ive seen a few guys do this. but i keep 35psi in mine and check it every 3 weeks cuz incorrect tire pressure can subrat upto 15% of your mileage
