Cai????
Has one with a 94-95 GT experienced hp issues after switching to a CAI? Has anyone found better power using the stock MAF and airbox?
I have a MAC CAI and a 75MM bullet MAF, 3.73, 5-speed and i cannot spin into 2nd gear with Motomaster CRAP tires! my car dynoed at 203hp but only 259lbs tq???? last year, minus my shortie headers and i made 200hp/300lbs where'd my tourqe go????? |
My buddy bought a MAC cai for his '97, he immediately removed it because he said it had more power without and got better mileage. thumbsd:

I think I can actually say that MAC products SUCKS! from your CAI, and my underdrive pullys, I will never buy another product from mac ever again.

i will defend MAC and the CAI...it worked fine until i changed my MAF...but since i got sent an fox body MAF and had to alter my CAI, i will have to go back to a stock box.....probaby better anyway!!

Steeda pullies, JLT intake,80mm MAF from a 99+ GT proper tune!

I had MAC shorties and h-pipe. I ran stock airbox with a k&n dropin. This on a 94 Gt. ran 14.5 with horrible 2.2 short times. I don't know that a CAI would have made any difference for the difference in price.

I have Mac upper and lower control arms in my 92 and they are fine
