Christmas Time Question!

First of all, Merry Christmas guys!

So, with christmas just gone, I got some money, now it's time to invest

-Would 24lb/h injector and a better Mass Air (Bullit) would help my car breath better than the stock one and would I feel a difference?

-Is it hard to swap the steering column to a tilt one?

Thanks guys!

I do believe the injectors question would depend on the hp you eventually want to push. Not 100% but someone can correct me.

Well,

As far injectors go, I wouldn't worry about them until such time as your mods get you to a point where it is warranted, like putting a big supercharger and need to get more fuel into the combustion chamber for all the air it's getting. Also, remember that a good tune will adjust the fuel table as well...If you have done heads with cams and exhaust and have a good cold air then you might want to look at a bigger mass air. As far a columns go, it can be done, but it's a lot of work. Learn your lesson now, ALWAYS get tilt when you buy a new car. In actual fact, I really don't know why it isn't standard equipment on cars these days...

More air + more fuel = more power

More power = more difference in feel in the driver's seat

Swapping the steering column depends on how good you are with wrenches.

I don't really have anything useful to contribute other than stating the obvious, but it didn't stop me from posting - that's 100% correct.

Thanks for the answers!
The tilt column was my father's plan, it don't bother me too much, but for the mass air and injector I'll prbably go for it...

Ok,

Is the engine basically stock? If so then I really see no need to go to bigger injectors as you will only be flooding the engine and wasting gas, and seeing as gas in NB isn't cheap I would wait until you do things like better flowing heads, cams, intake and exhaust. If you get a good tune it will maximize your fuel/air mixture and take advantage of the mods you have done to date. As for the MAF, it would also help with the above mentioned mods, but as long as you don't go too big. However, if again we are talking about a stock engine, it would be a bit of a waste of money, unless you are stockpiling parts to build up your engine.

Yeah, unless you've got a nice cam, good flowing aftermarket heads, good flowing intake, with full exhaust.Don't waste your money on injectors. An aftermarket mass air may help, but will be minor.

As mentioned above I agree, doing injectors would be a bad idea if engine is stock.
It would be modding your car backwards.
If you have extra money and want more power check out the "Best bang for your buck" thread....https://www.cmoc.ca/forums/t12243/

Also when you do larger injectors you have to get a dyno tune or a DIY tune via a "TwEECer", you must tell the EEC that you installed larger injectors so it can determine the right pulse widths, thats of corse you don't get a caliberated MAF and bypass a tune.
