Cold Air Kit

Hey guys and gals. I am looking to install a cold air kit as my next mod. The motor is a stock 5.0 in a 94 GT. Which brand should I go with. Will it effect drive clean? Will it effect any of my sensors. Thanks for any help in advance.

you don't need a cold air kit just yet. there are lots of other things you can spend your money on right now which would help you out a lot more. take a look at my site for some ideas.

The only reason I was thinking cold air kit was to help the car breathe better. Would you suggest just switching to a high flow air filter instead. I thought I would just spend the money now and go with the kit. ?

All I use is panal K&N filter and will be running in the high 12s this year. The fenderwell kits are certainly nice to look at but for the cost of them there are a lot of other things I'd want to spend my money on first. As far as performance I honestly can't see it making a noticeable difference of a good panal filter, but that's just me. I do things different than other people....

I concurr, that's all I have in my car as well, can't see that CAI tubing really flowing any better than the stock stuff as long as you have the silencer removed. A K&N Panel filter will work just fine.

I just saw the new Fram something Hog. Any opinions? $99.00

Well, considering most things FRAM makes are garbage, I'd assume that the Air Hog is as well.

Stick with the tried and true. K&N. The other good ones like Kool Blue by accel all claim the saim amount of flow so why bother unless you really like the colour???
