Engine swap
 

Hey all, I have had a few questions on this site about engine trans- plants into my 79 Mus. My car still does not have an engine as of yet. I've been trying to acquire an EFI engine from an 89 to 92 mustang (so as to have MAF). But these cars are not cheap people want a lot of money, and I just want the engine and and all pieces that go with it.... Would by change say a 89 Lincoln Mark VII 302EFI work. Engine harness, I know that the chassis is a fox chassis. My worries would be the switching to a stick from auto, are the computer set ups different for an auto, or does it matter.

The computer setups are different for an auto - I would suggest just buying a new computer. New from a company like LRS or used from a wreckers.

I think you can find a motor/tranny from a wrecker or maybe someone on this board or GTAMC for about $1000. Computer is a different story. An A9L with harness will probably run you another $300-$400...
