For sure, especially when it is getting increasingly more difficult to find technicians that know and work on carburetors and it costs almost as much as the kit to replace or have the carburetor rebuilt. Without taking into consideration the time needed to retune it to the engine after rebuilding.
I think that this series EFI unit would fit the bill if you just want to improve reliability without necessillary overstressing the frame of a 35 year old numbers matching convertible with more horsepower than a car used for cruising would ever need and keep the engine bay looking as original as possible. When installed right, I don't think the average person would ever know, unless they looked real close, that with the original air cleaner installed along with some of the redundant original pollution gear in place and maybe disabled, that the car didn't have the original 4 barrel Holley when the hood is lifted.
