help....wheres the fuel pump relay?

ive been havin some gremlins show their ugly lill heads. i thought it was my enertia switch so i bypassed it because my fuel pump wasnt running.still no fuel pump....( you couldnt hear it runin ) so i let it sit overnight to ponder where the hell the fuel pump relay is. come out in the morning and turn the key, wham i got my fuel pump runing.car starts fine.does anyone have any suggestions? has this happened to anyone else? i have an 87, notch, lx, 5.0l h.o, auto. this car has me baffled. it semms like after i stretch her out a little i seem to have this problem.im thinkin the fuel pump relay gets hot and shuts down my pony, but i dont know where the friggin thing is :banghead:

i've had the same problem twice. first time it was faulty wiring to the inirtia switch. second time it was the pump itself. most of the time when a fuel pump is dieing it quits when it gets hot. let it sit for a few hours and she'll run again. ...

thanks stock.........i took the enertia switch right out and conected the two wires for now untill i get a new inertia switch. i wondered about the pump, but never really had one thats in the tank....... i guess ill get a new pump too then....lol :tup :banghead:

if it does turn out to be the pump, you should step up to a 110LPH or better pump. the stock pumps just aren't enough, even after a few of the simplest bolt-ons you run into starvation at the top end....
