lowering springs,2011 5.0 GT

The wait is over Eibach is the first company to come out with lowering springs for the new 2011 mustang 5.0. They are offering the pro-kit and the sportline kit. If you order now through any eibach canada rep. you should be able to have them by the second or third week in October. Northern Performance out of Hamilton seems to have the best price.

It was only a matter of time before these came out - should help the look of your 5-oh a lot. Can't wait to see some pictures, never heard of that joint in Hamilton.

Wouldn't the lowering springs for the previous years work?Minus the engine/trans,it's pretty much the same set up like the previous years i would think!
Just like the springs for the fox years, they work from '79 to '04!.....And their was a lot more changes in stuff from engines/trans,and suspension gear threw those years. Weird.
Either way,it will definitely give the stance it needs like all other years LOL!

Unfortunately no. They will not work. The back spring rates remain the same, but the front rate must change due to the 5.0 engine as opposed to the 4.6 of the previous years. I was informed that the spring rate for the 2011 front springs is definately different. This according to the Eibach tech that I spoke to.

Oh and by the way Northern Performance was in Hamilton but now has just moved to Burlington. They are on Walkers Line near the QEW. You might know them as Northern Motorsport also. They also go under the name of Marcor.

Weird!Wouldn't think it would've been that much of a change.Like i stated in my last post, the same spring part numbers for the pro kit,and sportlines are used for all stangs minus vert from foxbodies right threw to the new edge stangs, and they have had "many" different engine, and trans combos threw the years that would effect the front end weight.

Good info to know anyways.

That might have been the case in the past. All I know that even if the difference between the 4.6 and 5.0 front end is minimal, I would certainly want to come as close as I can to having the exact spring rate. After all every little bit helps. I am sure the boys at Eibach tested the heck out of the 5.0 and made this conclusion based on many factors.

The product number has indeed changed for 2011. The pro kit no. is 35125.140

I agree, glad they did their homework this time round. It's what they should do instead of doing the good ol "Well since it's the same chassis, let's keep it the same threw out" deal LOL!Wish they did the same for the fox chassis stangs from '79 to '04.

I wouldn't say Eibach was the first to come out with lowering springs for the '11 - Ford Racing's got 'em too, for the GT and V6. http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=8686 I agree with 1low03gt - just because they changed the part number doesn't mean they changed the rate, sounds kind of weird to me.
