Need helpwith identification

Hi gang! My 78 mustang came with a 5.0 efi motor and I am looking to identify the motor and ecu. I can't find what ecu this is and I have googled until I can't google no more.Numbers on the ecu are eec-iv sfi-sdi e6sf-12a650-vic vve I tried looking for an a9l or such but that area is rubbed out. I would appreciate any help in identifying this ecu as when I go to up the power I need to know what chip etc to get. Thanks in advance Haywire

Thanks

Thanks. I did already find that one but it still doesn't show the ecu that is inmy 78. I am puzzled. I have only run it a bit as I just trailered it home due to the snow but it starts well and seems to run strong so beats hell outta me, just would like to know what it is so I can out together a plan to do the car up right. Im thinking its a 94-95GT EEC. Does it say T4MO on it anywere?

Your best bet is to ask the guys over at EECTuning.org very smart lads over there.

nope

Nope Illusions doesn't have that anywhere. If the motor wasn't so damn tight I might be able to get at the enginge block number and see what year it is. I am thinking that the guy who put this together prob got all the pieces from one donor car as this has been really well thought out and looks professionally done.I was told it was a motor and aod tranny from a 89 t bird but I can't verify that. Here is a dumb question. If I can get my hands on a a9l ecu it should just plug right in to the existing harness is that correct? I am leery to mess with it too much at this point as it is reported to run very strong. I was looking to begin an engine build up and wanted to make my plan. Damn I didn't even get to make a plan that fell apart before it fell apart. Haywire

I think it maybe out of a Crown Vic or Truck possibly as the number you gave does not align with Mustang or Tbird that I could find.

So should I p/u an a9l if I can find one? or would it really make much difference? Thanks guys for your help. Haywire
