Yes it does, 93 they went to the shitty one's.

I've read some late '92s also have the "shitty one's"

I heard that they only started that in 93....altough some 92 that were built late in the year may have them i suppose!

Depends when the engine was produced, some have the hyper pistons-some don't. They're actually a good part and should be fine as long as you keep the boost under 8 lbs and the juice under a 75 shot-and the car is properly tuned-of course.

i was thinking 150-250 shot with proper dual pump fuel setup on a carbed 92 motor

Maybe try and find an older engine-unless you wanna tear into it. Hypereutectic pistons will not hold up for long with anything over 100 shot.

Hyperutectic pistons would be fine with 200 hit if the tune is right. A buddy of mine has gone two full seasons with a junk yard 460 with cast pistons no problem. Just dont get too greedy :flame:

Hyper pistons are only bad if u get detontation...with a proper tune you should be able to do whatever you'd like with a newer engine
