Started the beast!!!

Hey Guys, need some input here. I just started up the beast and let it warm up real good then I revved it up to about 4k and saw the blues, Now I am upset and confused. I heard this is normal if the car has been sitting as the seals are dry. What do you guys think??

Give us some more details on the car...... could be valve seals but I need more info to properly diagnose the problem.

details

87-92 short block
gt40 iron heads
stock cam
s trim blower
42lb injectors & mass air

I think its the valve seals, I should take the car out for a 10 minute drive to let the oil get go through the motor and it should stop blowing the blues 4+K

thanks

Did you do any mods while the car was down? How long was it down for? Last oil change? Were the heads or the blower used? Is it only when its cold or all the time? Try taking it for a drive, but in my opinion I would suggest going with Synthetic oil.

it has not been started since the fall of last year and has fresh oil in it amsoil synthetic. I think if I take it for a drive the oil will get to all the seals and should fix the problem. I was just wondering if anyone else on here was having the same symptons, I heard its common for the seals to dry up in the heads.

I took the car out for a cruise and the blues are gone, must have been dry valve seals from sitting.

thanks for your input guys
