Best Available Tuners

Hey Guys,

I have been thinking about buying one of the custom tuner. I was looking at the SCT Livewire that is available on themustangshop.ca. Just wondering if anyone has it and if it is worth the $550?

I bought the Diablosport and it works great. Check out their web site. There's a lot of info and you can log on and ask questions which their techs answer. You can do your own custom tunes or use one of theirs and change back to the original tune in mins. I paid $300.00 on eBay.

I think the one he is thinking about it basically several "canned" tunes in one chip

I have a canned tune from the mustang shop right now until I can get it dyno tuned and it made a huge difference in my car, but I also have a HCI swap on it

Ok then... what would the best options be for a chip?

There are two "tuners" available for the EEC-IV ECM's, one of them is the AFM PMS and the other is the TWEECER. There is also a "brew your own chip" setup as well, but it's more involved.

The PMS is apparently dead-simple to use and there are always a few for sale on the Corral.

The TWEECER is a fair bit harder to use, but is also a more capable device.

The other option of course, as has been mentioned above is to just get a chip burnt by a reputable tuner. Steeda.ca, Misener Motorsports and DaSilva Racing all do SCT chips.
