Who Is Running a B303 MotorSport Cam Here?

Just wondering who all is Running a B303 MotorSport Camshaft in there car?

I know there are a few..... Anyone with speed Density Set up?

What do you think of the cam?

Any issues with it?

I myself have a Speed Density set up with the B303, Ported E7s, Ported Stock Intake, pulleys, exhaust....

My starts and idles and everythign I have not had it out on the road yet....

B-303 really needs mass air.
that being said..
I have followed this on the other forum.. Umm I guess if you’re running... and not stalling. Consider yourself lucky. A friend of mine has a B-cam in a freshly rebuilt 302... SD... GT-40 intake... Ported lower. 65MM TB. Ported E7's, pullies. 24#ers etc.. And he never had a problem with it stalling out on him. When cold... it would sometimes be a bit of a pain to keep running.

My advice I guess is if it's running and you don't have problems... Don't worry. If she starts stalling while on idle. You might need to think of a different cam. Make sure your timing is set

On your other post... "The Hawk" pretty much summed it up.

Ford Alpha cams are not SD friendly. I'm sure it's not what you wanted to hear but there are so many better SD friendly cams out there.

good luck.

Hey DropTop, just take your chances, If it doesn't run right you can pick up a mass air computer. I think tou can also get a main harness adapter so you don't have to buch up your existing wiring. Don't worry this mod has been done by many.

good luck.

Actually, I find that the B cam is the most SD friendly out there. I've put it in several vehicles with luck. There have been a few misses, but mostly hits. I personally dislike letter cams, but the B cam sure does sound tough! And it seems to work mostly in SD equipped cars.

You feelin OK SS??

LOL
Like was said above, if it doesn't work out you have the option of going Mass Air which is no biggy to do.

I've heard the F303 was the most SD friendly.

2nd that..

but like I said SS... I have a friend running a B Cam on SD and he has not 1 problem unless it's a cold start. He told me like -10 to 0 and he will have problems keeping it running..

it's hit or miss. the B Cam is a good cam though.. above 3000 RPM.. :chacha:

Hahahaha!!! All letter cams suck, but for $100 a pop the B cam isnt all that bad. It really doesnt make much of a performance improvement, you lose low end but shift the power band a couple hundred RPM higher on most near stock applications (where it seems to reside mostly). The most I've seen it put out on a stock headed 302 was 7rwhp. But it sure does sound badass! In any case, if you've got it already its alright to use in a SD setup. If you want a great cam that works amazing with SD go with the Crower..... I think it was the 15510... It comes in at .480" lift or something, my friend runs it in his '86 with P+P heads, P+P stock intakes, long tubes and a 4.10.... he ran 12.7 N/A and 11.99 with a 125shot and 2 melted spark plugs. I really like the Crower piece, and you can find them from time to time. They work perfect with SD. Anyways, sorry to get so off topic but back to the matter at hand. I've probably put the B cam into 3-4 SD cars myself, though I've never owned a SD car with any performance cam.

i too am running a B303 cam. It sounds great but it did lose some low end torque. the power comes on strong above 3000 and when i added boost to the mix, the power above 3000 was just awsome.

I picked this cam because it picked me - got it for free :)

This one I can't resist, In 1990 I installed a B303 on my 88LX. Car had 3000Km,I bought it new, with ported E7-stock valve, stock springs, ported stock upper and TB,1 1/2" long tubes,4.10 gears, the car went 12.29 at 109mph. full weight. For you sceptics call Joe or Paul Da Silva for confirmation. So ya... I like the cam!
