71-72 polyurethane front bumper?

I'm new to this online chat thing and not sure if I'm asking in the right place or not but here it goes... I'm fixing up my 72 mach1 that has been in storage for a long time. Storage didn't go well for the molded polyurethane front bumper so I'm looking to replace it. Has anyone heard of a company reproducing these? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

front bumper
Apparently it was molded right over the standard steel one. All you need is to make a fiberglass copy, and drop a regular one into the wet 'glass.

Chances are you could sell other copies online if they were decent.

Thanks for the ideas and links. I've made arrangements to have the car painted in the spring so I'll let you know how things turn out.

The spoiler bumper is not reproduced.

If your bumper has only minor problems they can be repaired by a good body man who knows too used rubberized body filler.

Otherwise, you will need to find a good used bumper.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up selling the car to buy a '73 351 CJ 4 speed convertible originally from California. However, the plan was always to have a Mach1 and convertible matched set, so I may end up needing a 72 polyurethane bumper yet.

That 73 is a rare car. I think Ford only made about 250 Q code 4 speed convertibles in 73

It was a tough decision to sell the Mach1 that I'd had for 25 years but I'm really pleased with the 73 convertible. You're very close on the numbers pprince. The Marti Report says 293 4V 351C 4 speed convertibles were built and I like that this one was well optioned from the factory. I hope to get it painted in the spring and then I'll post some pics.

I did an appraisal this summer on another 73 Q code convertible.

His father had a 73 Q C6 loaded convertible that I appraised at the same time.

I can imagine it was a tough decision to sell a car you had owned for 25 years. I have owned my 65 2+2 for 19 1/2 years now and never been tempted to sell it. I don't know what would tempt me to sell it.
