9 inch rear end swap

A couple of questions:

1) Will a 9" set up from a 67 fastback bolt into my 66 coupe complete with leafs ?

2) Will the front disc set up on the same 67 bolt onto my 66 ?

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

The rear and springs are a straight bolt in BUT the '67 axle is wider and will push the wheels out further.
I believe the '67 discs brakets and calipers will swap onto the '66 spindle but I'd have to confirm that. You should NOT swap on the entire '67 spindle set up as the geometry of the spindles differ due to the wider track of the '67 setup.

The 67 disc brakes used the same Kelsey-Hayes disc brakes. The only difference is that the 67 used bigger hose ends.

Make sure you get the caliper adapters.

The 67 9 inch will put your wheels out about 1 inch further on each side.

Probably not. The early (64.5 thu 66) Mustangs were built on the Falcon chassis; the
'67 was built on the Fairlane chassis in order to accomodate the 390 engine. Everything Mustang got bigger, longer, wider, heavier for 1967.
