Vin#s
Hi folks... We are hoping someone out there might be able to shed some light on our problem !! We have bought a 1966 289 three speed convertible... Our problem is that the stamped VIN # does not match what the car is !! I was in the collision industry for over 24 years and believe I can spot when two clips have put together to make one vehicle. There are no indications that this is the case... I can see where a rear floor section has been done and also se where the rear panel separating convertible compartment and trunk area has been messed with but no indications of a clip !!! Is it possible that ford could have stamped the wrong # on apron ?? The fender apron also appears to be original. VIN# is 6F07C7... Should be an 8 to indicate convertible ??? any help would be appreciated!!:banghead:
