What is this for?
 

I got this piece with some stuff that I got off Kijiji. What is it and what is it for? I have looked every where on the car to see if I could get it to match up with anything. :? As you can see it has set screws to attach it to something.

Looks like it may be a cover/cap for the oil level dip stick.

Nope, tried that. The oil dip stick is bigger and round.

Things that makes us go hummmm. :?

Do you know for certain its for your year of car? You said you got it with some other stuff off kijiji so maybe it just found its way in to your stuff.

No, I don't know for sure what year it is for. You are probably right. But it still would be nice to know what it is for or does. :headscrat

I don't know if you have already or not but if you have time just surf some Mustang part/accessory sites and see if it shows up in any of their chrome dressup or accent piece sections.

I have been doing that, but have found nothing yet. :cyberguy:
