So far I have only done about 10 laps at AMP this year, just to break in my new V710's, but the Torsen felt good compared to last year. I could definitely put the power down faster coming out of the corners, especially Turn2. It's different in Slalom's as well, and hooks up really quick in 2nd gear, just need to get used to it.

I plan to do a few solosprints at AMP this year. Last year my best time was 1:19:9x.

Have you had your car at AMP? If not you should come out to the next lapping school. This will allow you to do lapping, but you have to complete a driving school in order to do competition (sprints). There may be another school later on this year. But you can do slaloms anytime, just have to join a club.

I've been trying to get more Mustangs out to events, with very little luck. Would love to have more out to events.

Alan,
I have not run this mustang in any competion events. The new BOSS 2012 mustang comes with an optional Torsen. It seems to make so much sense to use one. If I was going to make some upgrades I would consider a torsen as a high priority. Have you considered a Watts link?
I will try to get to some events this summer.
Cheers,
Hugh

I went for the Panhard Bar/Torque Arm instead of the Watts Link.

Doing laps at Atlantic Motorsport Park in a Mustang can be real exciting. Lap times of 1 min 19 sec is an excellent time. Sticky tires are your best friend. Those V710s look pretty much like slicks.
Is there any chance we could organize a Mustang Lapping Session/School?

I doubt very much that a Mustang specific school/lapping could be organized, the AMP schedule is set for the year. However, there are lapping schools available, have a look here http://www.armsinc.ca/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=10107. The next school and lapping day is July 1, but the club has a 2 day regional slalom in Digby that weekend so I will not be there. Once one takes the lapping school, you can get on the track any lapping day.
