k well i've been kinda struggling to get my hands on a decent project since my 82 z28 was finished and i wanted something me and my little brother could both work on and finish before he gradded in 2011. as some of you know.. i went and looked at a 69 coupe.. but it didn't really cut it...

but look what i found!:biggrin::biggrin::chacha::chacha:

btw engine is all orgional and runs!

Great find . What are your plans ?

roddy 02-20-2009 05:08 AM

Not hatin'...just jealous. The body looks to be in pretty decent shape...much easier to find in B.C. than Ontario. Nice find.

08GTStang 02-20-2009 06:43 AM

That is a sweet looking car you will enjoy working on that one I am sure.

SNAKEBITE 02-20-2009 07:16 AM

Nothing to hate, good luck. I would love to look in the barns of S.W. Sask as it's the driest place in Canada, no doubt:tup

Wow the body (although missing a few small pieces - no big deal) and interior look mint! Nice find and good luck!

Plans are pretty basic, a LOT of cleaning and saving up for replacement parts. it's just going to be a weekend cruiser unlike the z28 that was built to the balls. the basic bodywork, rebuild the engine and clean it up, maybe swap out a few things for a little chrome. other thing i'd like to get my hands on is a paxton supercharger maybe... interior is going to be a little more modern though, be keeping the dash, seats and everything.. but audio in the cab is a big thing for me lol so subs tho..

it's a brother project so we'll see how she goes

mikeGT350 02-20-2009 02:08 PM

Good looking project......not Hating it at all :)

tremorstone 02-20-2009 03:13 PM

Congrats! and nice find.
You should do a project thread here. Let us all see the build as it goes...

johnny5 02-20-2009 03:34 PM

X2 on the project thread.
Nice looking car, can't wait to see how it turns out.

Crafty 02-20-2009 05:15 PM

lol project thread would be a good idea. gunna span a few years tho. since it's for both myself and my younger brother, expenses anre going to be split and he's still in highschool so it wont be too often. car is prob going to head to a bodyshop to get rid of what little rust there is and a coat of paint. lol we havent even decided on a color, he wants a red but i think that's too comon for the old stangs.. i want something more unique i like the lime colored stangs from that era so maybe saving up for something like lambo lime green :P idk.

my personal priorities still lay with selling my 2000 V6 and getting myself into a GT... i gots bit by the V8 bug:biggrin: damn i miss the torque... :(

^^ A few years will be around still ;)

What a great car you picked up! Totally awesome man, can't wait to see the process!

borbet 02-20-2009 10:15 PM

TOPLSFOX 03-08-2009 10:02 AM

If you don`t mind my asking,... what did you pick up that little beauty for?

Crafty 03-08-2009 11:51 AM

snaged it for three grand. it was a friend's uncle that owned it, he just didn't have the time to fix it and it was just sitting under a tarp..

Stew 04-10-2009 06:49 PM

sorry, just found this. that seems like a decent buy.
I saw something on tv a couple years ago about a scrapyard in the southwest. mustang heaven I think. they said they were crushing the old coupe body shells. especially six cylinder shells because nobody wants them. I couldn't believe that. people up here would be interested I think

Crafty 04-11-2009 12:20 PM

lol i know. it's such a shame that people are doing that.. but than again a lot of people want matching numbers tho. i was lucky mine's got all matching. Haven't spent a lot of time with it tho. took the engine out and started to clean it. I'm more focused on my DD stang, which is gunna need a new engine some time soon :(
