Like watching the spring bloom of lush green meadows and color, watching the arrival of the new 2011 Mustang is getting exciting. Within the month the new 2011 Mustang will be arriving at dealerships. The brochures are already printed. And now, Ford’s internet site will let you build one!

Ford has now launched the 2011 Mustang “Build Your Own” Configurator. Here you can spend some quality time building a limitless array of 2011 Mustangs, comparing pricing, packaging, colors and features. It will be the first time for many to actually see the new features in photographic form as well as look at detailed listings of new options and packages.

By clicking on any one of the models you move though a stepped process to build your car, choosing color, options, stripes, and interior fittings. You can see the new wheel designs for 2011 and by clicking them you then see what they actually look like on the car. Is it Grabber Blue for you? Or are you an Ingot Silver?

We test built a couple of cars including the new 3.7 liter Premium V6 and also the new Mustang Club Of America special edition Mustang. How cool is that? MCA gets top billing on the Ford Mustang these days. We also built a mean GT-500 and spent the mortgage for the next 5 years at well over $50,000. But luckily, it was free to dream.

What the arrival of this new website feature tells us is that it wont be long before the 2011 Mustang is passing you on the freeway or at your local intersection. You know darn well that these new owners are going to feel pretty special, revving their 305hp V6 or taunting you with the velvety rich sound of their 412hp 5.0 V8. Wouldn’t you?

Anyway, the new configurator is a great deal of fun and a good way to spend some time getting to know the new 2011 Mustang. Check it out: Build and Price

kind of dumb...as usual the US figures they are the only country that buys cars. You can not continue without a zip code unless I am missing something.
