Could be a dealer trade, and I don't understand how the Raptor could be an SVT sale in Canada and a regular order in the US, unless I'm reading this wrong.

Which happens sometimes......with comical results.

The franchise laws are different in Canada. They've scrapped the SVT dealers in the U.S but here they remain. I'm thinking they'll be calling them Ford Performance dealers soon enough.

I would guess that they bought one from another dealer which would make it a "used vehicle". I just checked the vehicle locator and they do not show any in stock.

The dealer I'm at is SVT, and we sometimes sell Shelbys and Raptors to dealers that aren't so they can resell to their own customers. (Assuming that we don't have all of the units spoken for with our own customers.)

cheers

It comes up at Ford.ca under build and price when I search for inventory and put the dealer name in the search box instead of a postal code. I've seen it there for about 3 weeks sitting out front. I'd be surprised if it was from another dealer, as they have been waiting for these trucks and are not going to be discounted. Hopefully this link works and takes you to Ford.ca inventory search. The first truck (the white one) shows at Blackstock.

That's odd, I'll have to check the locator again. Some dealers do hide their inventory on there too. Those are definitely new units, they must have the SVT franchise. If they recently signed up they wouldn't have the signage as SVT has been basically scrapped.

The two blue units are at Barrie Ford, which is SVT. Wonder if there is a relationship between those dealers???? I believe Barrie Ford does have interest in other Ford dealers, but Blackstock has never been in that conversation. Oh well, it just interesting to me.

Also just wondering, does the warranty clock start ticking once a dealer buys a unit from another dealer, or is the in service date still the sold date????

Warranty starts when you buy it.

The fact that they show up on ford.ca means they are new unit purchased from Ford. If they bought them from another dealer they wouldn't show up there. If they have the SVT franchise and transferred them from another dealer, they would also show online. If a non SVT dealer were to buy one from another dealer, warranty would be activated that day and the vehicle would be considered used.
