Not as many as you would think.

They're part pushers. One look at the material they make their g-load braces from should tell you that. Also their ball joint, bumpsteer kits are a joke. Talk about spending money for nothing. Any company that'll sell you something, you really don't need is a part pusher. I recall countless times, I saw Derek talking people out of buying Parts that they thought would/should work. It actually hurt the business. DECH's motto...If it doesn't improve the car, it doesn't go on the car...end of story.

They build some quality stuff, and prolly are the best now for suspension pieces.

You missed out on some great times...especially at the track. DECH's 94 the test mule, used to do 1:35's around Mosport. That's with a full weight car, R-compound Street tires, and a not so tricked out suspension. The car had springs/koni's, a g-load brace, and an alignment(all to DECH's specs) No trick control arms, no sub frames. The car made around 320hp...This was done back in 95..read ten years ago! I believe the Multi-Matic full race Stangs were doing 1:31's or 32's this year....so that should give you an idea of how good DECH's handle.I can only imagine what it would be doing now, but I'd bet that their street car would be faster, then the MM race car.
It truly was a shame when the doors closed. I miss that place, but I'm fortunate to still be friends with them.. If I ever win the lottery, you can bet your *** DECH will re-open.

1:35's are quick I'm stuck in the 1:43s, but I swear the car can't go any faster, the driver is perfect! :laughhard

Steeda is a parts-pusher, no doubt, but with a company that large what do you expect.

Did DECH use CC plates of some sort or did they just elongate some holes here and there?

I'll give you a quick lowdown on what DECH cars had, or should I say, didn't have....
No CC plates, No strut brace(inless a customer had to have it), no fancy control arms/torque arms/panhard bars/coil-overs. We used to modify the strut itself a little to get more negative. More caster...would be nice, but didn't care. Fancy balljoints? Bumpsteer kit? What for? Work with what came with the car and make it better...not replace everything...remember, less is more. It's like building an engine..it's the combination of all components..
Just think those 35's were done long before the track was inproved also. To me it's even more impressive seeing it was 10 years ago...aren't many street cars that could do it today, but I'm sure there are a few.

As for being a parts pusher...you need to, cuz it's the only way to survive. Doesn't mean I gotta like it, or it's right.

that's about it..of course the springs were specific rate, the alignments were to their specs...strut bushings, control arm bushings, and of course Koni's. Late in the 90's they developed the Grabbers, and the ASG. Nothing fancy till the ASG/Grabbers came along.
