March 1 – Ford Mustang continued to set a torrid sales pace in February, as sales to individual retail customers were 57 percent higher than a year ago. Lower fleet deliveries partially offset the increase in retail demand resulting in an overall Mustang sales increase of 32 percent. "The Mustang is going way beyond what could possibly be imagined for a...sport coupe in the wintertime months," commented George Pipas, Ford's North American sales analysis manager.

February Mustang deliveries totaled 14,050 cars, an increase of 32.1 per cent over last February. Calendar year to date Mustang sales were 24,335 units, ahead 18.5% from last year.

"The Mustang convertible is arriving just in time for the spring selling season," added Earl Hesterberg, Ford group vice president, North America Marketing Sales and Service. In Canada, "stampeding sales" characterized Mustang's February performance, according to Robert Girard, vice president, general sales, Ford Motor Company of Canada, Limited.

Total Ford car sales were ahead by 11.6 per cent on a month-over-month basis and 6.7 per cent on the year to date comparison.

That's some great news. I love stats like this that will shut up the people who say Ford isn't selling any '05's.

I like the new Mustang, I really do.

I was out of Mustangs for around 10 years, even though I did not have a Mustang, I would check out Mustangs and drool over the big block Mach1s or Boss' of yester-year.
I happened to find a website, Mach1registry and it intrigued me.
I thought it was another Mach1 site talking about the '69 model of Mach.

I was surprised to read that a NEW Mach1 was being built by Ford. Modern technology with throw back styling & a warranty!
I drove a Lincoln MarkVIII at the time and I went straight to my service dealership to find out more.
They had an Azzure blue on the lot and a DSG (that became mine) out of the way.
Test drove the blue loved the feel, the shaker and the sound.
I was dumbfounded and excited plus I never thought I could have a NEW Mach1.

I bought it and I have not regretted it once.

If I had the cash, I would LOVE a new Mustang, but there is no way in heck I would trade my Mach1 for one.
My DSG is paid for and I will hand that car off when I am not allowed to drive any longer.

Sorry, hell, where the heck did I just go??
Was so long I did not want to erase it... :banghead:
