FORD CEO REFUSES to ANSWER

I have tried to get a comment from FORD CANADA's head office and in particular Dianne Craig, the CEO, on the post regarding the Mustang 50th Anniversary Celebration.
However, it seems even a Police Detective/ Mustang owner/ Ford client such as I, do not rate the courtesy of a reply.
How about a bit of conversion Dianne? Your faithful MUSTANG public would truly like to hear the what and why about this lack of interest by Ford of Canada.

BBYE 02-13-2014 04:33 PM

So FORD CANADA and yes you, Dianne CRAIG, our CEO, who was at Barrett & Jackson on USA TV cooing over the sales of MUSTANG…what are you doing for us your loyal MUSTANG Enthusiasts in Canada… are you stepping up and doing a Celebration East & West..well how about an answer madam! Or are you as it seems just looking for your own self promotion?

BBYE 02-13-2014 04:38 PM

Come on Mustangs of Canada..just like the Olympics…never give up or give in. Lets beat this topic until we get a reply..it is the very least we deserve.
HEY can you hear us FORD??.. Mrs. CRAIG??…

Unbelieveable isn't it? The money we put in their pockets and this is what we get…What was that Slogan..FORD is JOB One??..What a joke..what a slap in the face!

ChadStang 02-13-2014 08:49 PM

If an anniversary show isn't planned, grab the reigns. Maybe if you contacted Ford or your local dealer, with a game plan to plan a big show, you may be able to get some sponsorship. You seem very passionate about it and could probably do a great job. :tup

BBYE 02-13-2014 09:15 PM

Thanks Chad…hd I known this was the attitude of Ford I probably would have organized something here in Saskatoon. I organized a Dodge get together a few years ago here and had 18 cars from all over western Canada attend and we had a blast with Search runs, mini Olympics driving events, a mini road course,BBQ and a casual get together.
It is a shame this has been passed up by FORD. If a little nobody can think of some way to celebrate this milestone you think Corporate HQ inFord Canada would take the reigns.

Ahh I am done with this, Ford can go piss up a rope..sorry but that is how I feel ..set & match!

Apocalypse Pony 02-14-2014 03:17 AM

So if you're done with this, does that mean we won't have to see any more posts directed to Dianne Craig, who, last check, was not a member here. Ford Canada doesn't hear you and they don't care. Unfortunately, I can hear you, but I'll share the don't care part. You're upset, it's a travesty that Ford ignores that small segment of Mustang enthusiasts demanding attention to their special needs for free stuff. I'm with you dude, but jeez, enough already.

BBYE 02-14-2014 09:09 AM

Pony..and you are a moderator. Never realized that meant you can put your personal influence into a post. Free speech and all that.
No worries sweetie I am culling this Forum if that is the attitude of the moderators.
"a travesty that Ford ignores that small segment of Mustang enthusiasts demanding attention to their special needs for free stuff".man are you messed up..is that what you go for? Figures, you missed the whole point…toddles…

Ohtobbad 02-14-2014 10:06 AM

He might be a MOD, but he is entitled to an opinion.
If Ford is not a member here, then all your whining
is falling on our ears not theirs, you do realize this, yes?
Go to your local ford dealer, Or provincial ford rep.
Make your case. but by the looks of this thread, most are not concerned or care.
From this end of Canada, 20+ cars are headed to the big celebration in the US.
My Local dealer supports the local club, we support them.

Apocalypse Pony 02-14-2014 01:17 PM

The lack of anyone jumping on your bandwagon says I'm not the only one who feels this way, just maybe the only one to have the guts to be honest and say it. I'm not censoring my opinions for your feelings or anyone else's. I would have expected a little more compassion, seeing as I'm the forum equivalent of law enforcement, bro or would you prefer sweetie ? I'm not messed up and I didn't miss the point, I just got tired of you beating the same horse over and over and gaining no traction. Smile and wave Officer Friendly, it's all good, you have my apologies, I promise I'll only say nice, supportive things from now on. YAH, FORD sucks man. SHOW A LITTLE LOVE FOR ALL THE STANG-BANGERS OUT THERE. (Better???)

Apocalypse Pony 02-14-2014 02:41 PM

Life is short…..don't take Moderators seriously. Seriously.

DublDee 02-20-2014 02:13 PM

Hey BBYE, I'm just curious as to how you went about attempting to contact them? Did you email, or write a letter? Who, or where did you send it too? I have no problem trying to get on board, and help out trying to get an answer, or repsonse to your concerns, I just want to make sure we are going about it the right way. Calling someone out, on a forum that they never frequent is quite honestly a waste of your time, and will not gain you any results, I'm sure. Like I said I'm more than happy to help.

DublDee 02-21-2014 05:04 PM

Ok so I decided to try contacting Ford myself regarding some of the concerns raised on this thread about the 50 year celebrations in Canada, or lack there of, and to my surprise, I got a reply to my email in less than 24 hours. This is what they wrote me:

Dear Mr. Dee,
My name is Jennifer and I am with the Ford of Canada Customer Relationship Centre. I received your email regarding the Ford Mustang’s 50th Anniversary celebration.
First, allow me to thank you for your loyalty to our company. I appreciate the time you have taken to write us and make us aware of this issue.
Ford of Canada is planning some 50th anniversary events but cannot confirm the details or locations just yet. We recommend that you visit our Ford Mustang page found on our website at 2015 Ford Mustang | Power for the Sports Car Fanatic | Ford.ca.
You may sign up for updates using the Blue “Get Updates” button on the upper right corner of the screen. Please note that you should be on the Mustang page to receive Ford Mustang related updates. We will include any 50th anniversary events in the communications that go out from this page.
Thank you for contacting Ford of Canada,
Jennifer
Sometimes e-mail communication does not allow us to gain additional information that may be helpful in responding to your inquiry. Should you feel that we have not adequately addressed your question or questions please contact the Customer Assistance Center via telephone Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am and 8:00pm. You can reach the Customer Assistance Center at (800)565-3673. Hearing impaired callers with access to a TDD may contact (800)232-5952.

Anyway, I hope this answers some questions, and hopefully we can look forward to some nearby events. :D

Apocalypse Pony 02-22-2014 11:50 AM

Nice job DublDee, all it takes is one guy who can take the right approach and ask the right questions. Ford's really listening to it's buying public when you get an answer that fast.

mugs72 02-22-2014 12:21 PM

That is nice to read/hear. I will definitely try to make one if there is one in SWO.

I agree 100%. It's not what you say, it's how you express, and say it that can either make or break conversation, or response.

DublDee 02-23-2014 09:20 AM

Thanks Guys. If I receive more feedback from Ford, I will certainly post it. :tup

DublDee 02-24-2014 09:17 PM

Well I have to admit, that I am very impressed with the response back from both Ford Canada, and Ford Motor Company in the U.S. I received another email from Ford Canada, once again thanking me for contacting them with "our" concerns, but even more surprising, I received this from Ford Motor Company, asking for contact info so they can call me to discuss plans for the 50 celebration in Canada.

Hello Darren,
Thanks for reaching out to Ford Motor Company in the U.S regarding Mustang 50 Years Celebrations in Canada. I would like to call you later this week to discuss our preliminary plans to celebrate Mustang 50 Years in Canada this summer. At what number can I call you?

DublDee 02-24-2014 09:22 PM

Well I have provided them with my cell number, and we'll see what they have to say, but if any of you have questions, concerns or suggestions for the 50th year celebrations in Canada, please post them on this thread ASAP so that I can discuss all of them when they call.

PS: Guys, I really think this is cool, and I also think it speaks volumes for Ford to step up to the plate and take this serious. Obviously our concerns and opinions matter, and that's very refreshing.....especially this day in age, so start providing me with input, I don't want this all to be for nothing. :chacha:

Apocalypse Pony 02-25-2014 03:12 AM

Guess if you ask nice, and not all ignorant and stuff, you get results. Once again, well done DublDee, kind of puts all the negative talk about Ford into perspective.

Absolutely, now let's hope the person(s) looking for answers are going to provide me with their questions or comments so I have something to discuss with them, since they are taking time out of their busy days to contact me.

def67 02-25-2014 10:24 AM

I think a GT give away for any who's bought a stang in the last 50 years sounds good!

Darkhorse 02-25-2014 11:56 AM

This thread is too funny. I'm pretty sure if Dianne Craig was approached the same way as this thread was, she'd run for cover too.

You're a cop too? wow.

I know that Ford invited a couple of Mustang clubs to Oakville a few weeks back to start planning some festivities at Oakville this summer. Being in Saskatoon would make it hard to attend, but I'm sure local dealers or local regional heads could plan something out that way.........so you can STAY......out that way. lol.

Nice, I'll bring that up for ya! :lol

The initial email from Marc from Ford advised that there are plans for celebrations in both Saskatoon and Regina, so we'll be just fine out here. As much as i would love to come visit Ontario....NOT! :P

Ohtobbad 02-25-2014 03:39 PM

you could ask if anything is happening on the east coast?
I know many from our local club are making the trip south, 4 guys and 2 cars are headed to California to join up with Mustang Across America drive to the big celebration.

mugs72 02-25-2014 05:00 PM

I would imagine having something in every area is not feasible, nor would it be reasonable for us to expect it. Being close to the GTA I would imagine Oakville is going to be the city of choice for the London area. Oakville is about 2 hours from London (not driving crazy fast) so if Ford is going to go through the "trouble" (for lack of a better term) of putting this on for us owners I think we should support them and show up. Closer to London would be nice but Oakville is a nice top down drive away!

Oh yeah, and the GT giveaway is a nice idea. Would be cool to suggest to them that owners get 1 ballot for every year they have owned their mustang. ;-)

I certainly will. Thanks for the feedback.

If we're going to suggest a giveaway, we better start with the idea of a GT500....we can always bargain down.

DublDee 03-03-2014 03:51 PM

Well I just got off of the phone with Marc from Ford, and he was very helpful with giving me as much information as he can at this time. He mentioned that he and his team have reached out to some local Mustang clubs in Western Canada, and still have to make contact with the local clubs in Saskatoon and Regina. He let me know that they are planning to have a 2015 Mustang GT at the IMM in Vancouver, as well as one in attendance at Edmonton, Clagary, Saskatoon and Regina meets. They will start in Calgary in ealry June, then Edmonton mid to late June, and then Saskatoon and Regina shortly there after.
Marc said that although they have done some preliminary planning, they have a lot of fine details to work out, once they have contacted the clubs in the areas. He has also made a comittment to keep in contact with me throughout this process, and in turn I will obviosuly post any prudent info on this thread.
According to Marc, the presence of the 2015 Mustang at these meets will be something very special, as the dealerships will not have them for display by the time these meets/celebrations take place.
Anyway, like I said I will keep you all posted. Also if anyone has contacts to local clubs looking to hold a meet during these times, let me know their contact info, so I can get Marc in touch with them. :chacha:

ChadStang 03-03-2014 09:38 PM

Great to see them putting some plans together.:tup

Apocalypse Pony 03-04-2014 03:22 AM

Quite the turn around on this subject, that kind of communication from Ford and details about events blow any previous rants on the subject right out the window. Well done once again Dubldee, a 2015 at the IMM puts it in the right place at the right time for the right people, which shows you Ford is indeed paying attention to it's Mustang enthusiasts, even the ignorant ones who demand a 50th from the CEO. Nicely played.

DublDee 03-04-2014 06:42 PM

Funny how the one(s) making all the noise about it, now have nothing to say!!! I went out of my to try and help, and had some success contacting them so I asked for input, questions, concerns or suggestions, and now everybody's quiet! Some people just like to complain I guess.:?:?:?
