Ford Recalls 474,000 Escape SUV's
FoMoCo. said Friday it is recalling about 474,000 Ford Escape SUV's worldwide because of an accelerator problem that can cause the engine to race.
The recalled vehicles are from model years 2002 to 2004, and the vast majority are in the United States. In some cases, a liner over the accelerator cable may prevent the engine from returning to idle. Owners will be notified by Ford and can have the cable replaced at no cost. |

I don't think Ford is any worse than any of the other big 3. Remember that the majority of that list is simply TSB's, which are only there as references for the techs working on these vehicles. They're not defects or things that necessarily need to be fixed.
In my personal experience I'd never buy another GM product. I've had nothing but great luck with Ford. |
